The difference here is that with Riya you upload your own photos, you train the engine a little bit and then you can search for a person in your photos by his name. "SenseCam is a badge-sized wearable camera that captures up to 2000 VGA images per day into 128Mbyte FLASH memory. In addition, sensor data such as movement, light level and temperature is recorded every second. This is similar to an aircraft “Black Box” accident recorder but miniaturised for the human body."
Data from senseCam can be saved into the "MyLifeBits" system which tries to be your life's database. "MyLifeBits is a lifetime store of everything." SenseCam is still a research prototype and MyLifeBits a research program but I think there is great potential here...
