Review: Hulu Plus takes television to your pocket
NEW YORK -- Hulu, the popular website with TV shows, now comes as a subscription-based application for iPhones and iPads. Although it isn't perfect, it works well enough that it may make you wonder if the TV's reign as the center of family life is coming to an end.

Acer's Aspire TimelineX 1830T-3721 Is Sleek and Attractive, but Has Iffy Ergonomics
There's a lot to love about the Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T. At about $700, it's extremely affordable for an ultraportable, offers great workaday performance, has excellent high-def video playback, and runs for over 6 hours on its battery. However, the 1830T also suffers some ergonomic quirks that...

A brand new cool photo search service

Riya is the name of a new photo search service, yet to reach beta version. What is so special you ask about this service? Google has already a running version of an image search service, right?

The difference here is that with Riya you upload your own photos, you train the engine a little bit and then you can search for a person in your photos by his name. Riya, by using face recognition technology finds the person you are looking for in your photos providing all the photos this person appears in.

Did I mentioned rumour has it that Google is planning to buy this company?

Adobe acquires Macromedia

As shocking as it sounds it is true. Adobe will merge with Macromedia as several news sources comment today.

The two popular companies will integrate their product lines trying, as they comment, to grow and expand their business. The question is which products of both companies will be phased out as a result of this...

You can find more information about the acquisition here

Store your life bits..!

senseCam prototypeDo you forget about where you left your car keys, what you had for dinner yesterday or who do you met last moth or last year? Well... Microsoft may once more has something cooking up for you.

"SenseCam is a badge-sized wearable camera that captures up to 2000 VGA images per day into 128Mbyte FLASH memory. In addition, sensor data such as movement, light level and temperature is recorded every second.  This is similar to an aircraft “Black Box” accident recorder but miniaturised for the human body."

Data from senseCam can be saved into the "MyLifeBits" system which tries to be your life's database. "MyLifeBits is a lifetime store of everything." SenseCam is still a research prototype and MyLifeBits a research program but I think there is great potential here...

You can find more information about senseCam here and more about MyLifeBits here.
